Materials
The Pela Case is made of Flaxstic®, which is comprised of compostable bioplastic elastomer and flax straw materials. Our material has been tested to be safe and free of phthalates, BPA, cadmium and lead and is verified to meet child safety standards in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Our base material meets U.S. (ASTM D6400-04) and E.U. (EN 13432) standards for composting in an industrial composting facility and has a lower carbon footprint and lower greenhouse gas emissions than traditional plastic. It can also be left to compost in a home composting environment.

Awesome case
This case has been on my phone for 2 years and it has protected my phone from every fall. The overall design is great. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it started falling apart, almost like it was ready for composting.

Super worth it
Great case thus far. Super easy to put on and take off. Obviously some dust gets in but it's easy to just slide a corner out and clean your phone off. I don't have much to say yet about drop protection since I'm not too clumsy but I'd imagine it'd be decent. It's thinner than I thought but the rounded edges are good grip. I'd definitely buy another one if/when I upgrade phones or when this one gets too beat up.
