Bake these Orange Cardamom Buns, of course. The baking spice smell permeates the whole house so after a trip outside to do a school run, go to work, or go for a walk and collect some logs (for those of us in the countryside), you step back into your kitchen and get that spice hit all over again. Absolute bliss.

It gets even better when the Orange Cardamom Buns have finished baking and it’s time to dig in. Freshly baked Orange Cardamom Buns sliced in half, topped with jam, butter or honey and served with your beverage of choice.(Curling up in front of the hot wood-burning stove optional but highly recommended.)

Orange Cardamom Buns – Tips

  • Whilst they taste sooo good served fresh, they still taste lovely when reheated.
  • Serve with your beverage of choice. Plain coffee with sugar and splash of a2 Milk™, or luxurious hot chocolate.
  • Orange Cardamom Buns can also be served plain.I sometimes skip the toppings and enjoy the wonderful flavour of cardamom rolls on their own. There is nothing plain about the flavours of orange zest and cardamom.
  • This is a fun recipe for kids. My kiddoes love helping me make these so much that I tend to have an oversupply whenever I make them… which is only a good thing.
